Long Point is the member-owned course for The Amelia Island Club and their guests. It is also available for resort guest play on a limited basis. Completed in 1987, this Tom Fazio award-winning design challenges golfers with natural hazards, tight fairways and elevated greens. The rolling fairways wind through three spectacular and distinctive settings: the magnificent marshes, the thick oak and pine forest and the scenic oceanfront dunes. Long Point’s character is shaped by natural waste bunkers, spectacular marshlands, mounded fairways, and true putting Tif Eagle® greens. There is a wonderful mix of straight-away and dog-leg holes, some quite tight and others wide and forgiving. Many of the holes play longer than advertised due to uphill landing zones. Many greens are elevated and require a soft airborne approach shot. In addition, the golf course demands that the golfer’s shot carry water hazards on eight different occasions. Many of these holes leave the player with breathtaking views of the Amelia River and expansive salt marshes. Did we mention the wind? Long Point’s two signature back-to-back #15 and #16 par 3 ocean holes can play like docile pussy cats or wild broncos depending on the weather conditions.

Long Point is a demanding par 72 course from the back tees with a yardage of 6,567, a rating of 72.2 and a slope of 136. With multiple tee options, the golfer can make it as hard or easy as he or she wishes. Long Point has been acclaimed as one of the “Top 50 Courses in Florida”, by Golfweek Magazine and one of the “Best Places to Play” by Golf Digest. The Club has hosted the Florida Women’s Amateur, and the Men’s U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur qualifiers, in addition to numerous Amelia Island Club events and championships.

The Long Point course includes a large grass practice range with tees at each end, a fine putting and chipping green, a full service pro shop, and a friendly clubhouse with locker room and full dining facilities. The Amelia Island Plantation golf school is located on the south end of the practice facility.
